Pro Life Legal Defense Fund, Inc.

The Pro Life Legal Defense Fund, Inc. (PLLDF) was formed in May 1975, in an effort to promote a respect for human life and defend the right to life of all human beings, born and unborn. The need for such an organization was evident after the United States Supreme  Court decision in Roe v. Wade and other similar cases. The law had failed to recognize the sanctity and dignity of human life, and it was necessary for a legal organization to step up and begin defending those who could not defend themselves.

Additionally, PLLDF was created in order to serve as the legal counterpart to Massachusetts Citizens for Life (MCFL), which is the oldest pro-life organization in New England. PLLDF provides pro bono legal services for the protection of human life. PLLDF also conducts research, collects and compiles facts and data, and publishes information regarding a broad range of pro-life issues. In essence, PLLDF attorneys, using litigation, education and advocacy, have effectively advocated opposition to  abortion, assisted suicide and other matters that disrespect the value of every human life.

On September 3, 2015, PLLDF President Bob Joyce was interviewed by Brendan O'Connell on the cable television show titled Life Matters. For an interesting review of PLLDF's history and our current efforts, we invite you to watch the 25-minute interview presented in the following two parts.
